This summer has been full of changes for us. This is the first summer since we've been married in which Marc has not been working full time + taking classes. Sure, he's still working 50ish hours a week, but he's free during his days to be with Isaac! What a blessing!
We are getting used to not having the boys around, although in 8 weeks that will be another change as we welcome back Young & welcome Seong into our home.
We will be adding to our family in 8 short weeks, and wow, I can't even imagine all the changes that will bring for all of us!
The one we have finally accomplished is moving Isaac into his new room, including a new, big-boy bed! He slept in there for the first time last night and did great! He also took a fantastic nap today and both times stayed in his bed until I went to get him. We'll see how long that lasts!
Now on to getting rid of the pacifier during naps/nighttime. Any tips?

take it away and dont give it back. Cold turkey is the way to go. Had to do it with Ellie. I think I was more scared about it than her. She sobbed the first night and then just asked for about a week after that. Buy him a special stuffed animal to sleep with.
Put cuts in them so they don't suck as well or tell him you gave them to a new baby who really needed them. We did that with Meg and then she found them about a year later in a drawer Oops!
we took the paci right away and it was very tough. honestly, my advice. don't worry about it...he is in the middle of a big transition right now. if i had to do it over again i would wait...we have over a month of screaming after we took ruby's away.
I would also say don't worry about it right now. You might want to let him keep that until the baby has been around for a couple of months.
What we did with Meg was AMAZING. We took her to Toys 'R' Us, and Beau snuck over to the register to tell the clerk that we were going to trade her pacifier in for a toy. The clerk was great and made a big deal about it when we got up there. She had a hole in her counter that drops down to the garbage, and we told Meg to put her paci there in exchange for her toy. Then she cheered and gave Meg a balloon. Meg was so proud. She only asked about her paci a couple of times after that, and we just asked her if she wanted to give her toys back to have the paci again.
